Program Assistant
Terra On The Bench Studios is a growing environmental media and program development platform. The mission focuses on documenting environmental work, supporting community programs, and developing hands on learning experiences for students and early career professionals.
This role supports the development of a startup company. The Program Assistant helps organize research, outreach, and coordination for new environmental programs, partnerships, and events.
The position supports the early growth of a developing organization. Team members participate in building what we expect to become a successful and impactful platform.
Core responsibilities
Identify potential focus group participants through universities, environmental organizations, student groups, and community networks.
• Compile and maintain a list of potential participants using Google Spreadsheets, including names, roles, contact information, and outreach status.
• Assist with sending recruitment messages and invitations to potential participants.
• Track participant responses and confirm attendance.
• Coordinate scheduling for focus group sessions based on participant availability.
• Distribute meeting links and reminders to confirmed participants.
• Assist in preparing discussion materials and participant information before each focus group session.
• Take structured notes during focus group discussions to capture key insights, participant concerns, and recurring themes.
• Organize notes and summarize discussion outcomes for internal program planning.
• Maintain records of focus group participation and feedback to inform future cohort development and program design.
• Assist with follow-up communication to participants, including thank you messages and updates about upcoming programs
Assist with Zoom/Meetup Events
Communication will occur through email and text messaging.
Work is remote, may have some in-person activities but not right now.
Research environmental organizations, schools, and programs that support environmental education, conservation, or community initiatives.

This position operates with a flexible schedule. Some tasks require completion within a specific timeframe. Advance notice will be provided when timing matters.
Payment occurs based on the number of hours worked each week.
