Welcome to the Botanical Garden Virtual Discovery Trail! We are visiting Harry P. Leu Botanical Gardens in Orlando, FL. Explore a living collection of plants that help support wildlife, clean our air, and strengthen ecosystems. Florida is home to thousands of native plant species, including beautiful wildflowers, towering longleaf pines, and important mangrove forests. These plants provide food and shelter for pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, helping nature thrive.

Botanical gardens play an important role in protecting plant diversity and teaching us how plants can help address climate change. Trees and other plants absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, reduce urban heat, improve air quality, and help manage stormwater. By learning about native plants and conservation efforts, visitors can discover how healthy ecosystems benefit both people and wildlife while creating a more resilient future for Florida and beyond. 🌿🌎🦋Today, I will be sharing what I learned about wetlands and the wider watersheds that make up Florida's rich ecosystems.

Terra will be your guide. During the trail tour, she will pop up with fun facts and activities that will show you what Botanicals are all about. Follow the trail and have fun!
