Since I talk to myself so much, I figured I'd make my alter ego a real character

Hello everyone! 👋🏾

Welcome to The Terra Dialogues. I have a thing where I talk to myself a lot. Out loud in public spaces, to myself in quiet places, or talking to someone after they have just left the conversation. Boy, does that feel good. Since I enjoy talking to myself because I seem to make sense and come to better conclusions about the world than most people, I figured, why not create a dialogue with the character that was spawned from my everyday creative processes - Terra Verdant ™.

I’ve been told that conversations with me have been some of the most authentic and stimulating ones a person has had within just two days of meeting me, vs someone who has been having small talk with the same person over the course of 3 months. Actually, someone told me this last week.

These dialogues will be stories, thoughts, experiences, and conversations that I have with myself in a dialogue format.

There’s too much valuable insight a person can get from these dialogues. Why keep it stored away? I’m not an open book, but you can open the Terra Dialogues to page 12 and begin reading. 😎 And yes, I will be bold and blunt. If you knew me in real life, that’s just me. You’ll get used to it and realize that’s exactly how your history teacher (whatever teacher, I’m sure you had one of them) used to speak, but they helped you get through school, right?

In an effort to increase my vocabulary and intellect after being subjected to the mind-numbing nonsense I, along with many others in this world, have been experiencing these past 3 years, I am using this platform in addition to my blog to get back to the articulate and intelligent self that I once was. Can you believe I was more mature at 17-20 than I am now? That’s probably why I had to shake off older men so much. They could have just been creeps, too. I miss the old me.

Needless to say, I think now would be a good time to introduce my alter ego. The one beautiful lady who shakes me into reality. She plays devil’s advocate sometimes to help me see the other side of any argument, whether about people, the state of the world, myself, or what I should eat for lunch. All very simple things…

Let me take that back.

The topics are complex and never-ending, but the series will spare you the chaos and just share the points of the dialogues we have together. Unless you want the chaos and scolding hot tea.

Real quick, though, Terra is pro-earth and nature. Well, she is the living embodiment of nature. She is Mother Nature. I could go on to tell you why I have Mother Nature as an alter ego, but for now, I want to just explain who she is and what this series will be.

Terra was formed by my self-perception. I see her, and I'm the same. The only difference might be that she is an optimistic personality. She sees the potential of any situation and idea and helps me consider the same vision. She’s tough, though. She is the rule maker. She is the one who supports nature. She is not a goddess nor an entity. She is the fictional embodiment of how I see Mother Nature and Myself.

Since Terra and I have quite a few dialogues, we figured, why not share them? I thought, maybe I could possibly share the fun and the conclusions I’ve reached in life with others, and maybe you’ll find them as helpful and enjoyable as I have.

In the process, I’d like to hear your guys’ take on the matter, too. I like to work out problems in life and find ways to find solutions to actual issues in the world pertaining to the environment, social norms that should not be normal, accountability for myself, and revealing who should be accountable for what. As I said, the conversations are endless. But it’s for a good cause. Also, this kind of sounds like I’m advocating for a cause, but that’s happening on my blog. This is strictly the creative outlet for me and for your entertainment.

There you have it. Thanks for spending time with us, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the series! Leave a comment and introduce yourself. We can all be friends!
